about

The Central Stasis Volume is a concept album and consists of roughly 1000 microsamples of 1000 artists in both popular and experimental music. These samples were then arranged at random and triggered in excess of 150.000 times over the course of an hour +. CSV is designed in such a way that any recognition you might perceive is very fleeting as the sequenced data shifts through the material so swiftly and is stacked four tracks deep with changing pan focus. The mind numbing honour/horror of mastering this release befell mr. Jarlev - a task he fulfilled with extreme skill. Metastasis is the same data processed at maximum sequencer speed. Some of the data points were regrettably lost as the resolution is much too low to successfully produce 420+ sound events per second.

This antimusic was originally released as a continuous track on the Twilight Luggage label as TLMP41. This digital version had to be split in half as a result of the 600MB limit on uploads. The Mordisco Recordings catalog number is MOLAR029.

The Central Stasis Volume is not music, it is a consequence of music.
